The legendary turn-based strategy is back: At gamescom 2026, a full-fledged remake of Heroes of Might and Magic III was announced, recreated from scratch in modern 3D and 4K resolution. The project includes the original game along with two iconic additions (Armageddon's Blade and The Shadow of Death).

Key features of the remake

  • New generation graphics: A complete reworking of the visual style in 3D and 4K with detailed animations of creatures, updated screens of cities and modernized sound design.

  • All 9 original factions: Castle, Stronghold, Tower, Inferno, Necropolis, Dungeon, Citadel, Swamp and Pairing with preserved tactical balance and unique units.

  • A single story saga: All classic story campaigns are combined into a common chronology with the addition of a new prologue, epilogue and cinematic cut scenes.

  • Classic Multiplayer and Hotseat: Support for online battles of up to 8 players, as well as a saved game mode for one computer.

  • Advanced Map Editor: A full-fledged toolkit for creating your own scenarios, campaigns and customizing the game balance with support for user content from day one.

The project is aimed both at veterans of the series who want to see the familiar Erafia in a modern version, and at a new audience who are ready to get acquainted with the standard of the genre of step-by-step strategies.
